In the Brooder
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Yes! As of last August.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We have 4 hens!
(3) What breeds do you have?
3 Rhode Island Reds and 1 possible Cinnamon Queen or ISA Brown Breed (came from a mixed backyard where the guy had no idea what he had)
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Watching them run and explore their environment. A sprinting chicken is the closest I'll get to a velociraptor and it's delightful and hilarious.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Fashion design and gardening and bird watching.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We have 4 cats, 1 5yr shepskie lady, 2 kids. I work as a technical fashion designer and brand maker. Looking to start my own company. Volunteer with kids schools for gardening and scouts for my younger daughter.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I've been doing so many google searches to find answers and this site kept coming up. Also think I might've found the reddit counterpart first, if the groups are related? Excited to join an actual forum again!
