dog mange?

Did she have a skin scraping done at the vet to confirm? (I know you said you brought her, but didn't mention what tests she had done) If it is in fact demodex mange, than it seems your vet may need to change her medication or dose if it is not working.

Another thought that came to mind is perhaps she is having allergic reaction to something and may need something adjusted (food, environment, etc)

this is a very good point. Most dogs seem to have food sensitivities from generations of being fed left over, moldy grain and animal byproducts, causing weakening of the genetic lines and immunity.

Yes she does have demodex.. we have beniful dog food for the first time and will try it. It doesnt seem to matter what food she is given, it stays messed up. I just want to try and help her the best we can.

Please excusw me for a moment, i have to grab my soap box.
Beneful is likely one of the worst foods you could feed a dog. There are so many things wrong with it, my fingers are tired even thinking about typing it out!

Okay, short of a long exclusionary diet process, I would recommend getting a grain free, fish formula for her.
Do you have a TSC near you? They have a brand of food called 4health. It is cheaper than all premium dog foods, but I've found it a happy medium between super expensive and bare bones cheap. I've used taste of the wild (just super expensive) and was less than pleased with my dogs' condition. They have grain free whitefish formula of the 4health, I would try her on that for at least 6 weeks to see if there is any improvement.

You could always take the expensive route and have a blood test done for food allergies.

Unfortunately, I know way too much about dog food and food allergies and what they can do to a dog. Puppy mills are breeding grounds for allergy prone dogs. Breed rescues have to foot the bill.

Ok...sorry about that!
