Since ours ONLY like to poop on the concrete patio and walkways
I use the pressure nozzle on the waterhose and just spray it off, which breaks it all up and it dissolves. Occasionally I will use bleach which keeps the smell gone.
I bag it up 3 times a week and take it to the trash. I put it in several grocery bags. I called the garbage ppl and asked what to do with it and that is what they told me to do. I would never think to dig a hole and bury that much poop ( I have 2 dogs) my yard would be full of holes. Then it would sink into the ground water for my well. I walk bare footed in my yard and would never even dream of "watering it in" it is not good fertilizer it is full of things you don't want in your yard. never compost it and use it any where near food stuffs.
I've got 25 dogs so I pick up A LOT of poop. I pick up twice per day into two large pails. Every other day when the pails are full I walk them to a spot in the bush on my property and compost it. I layer dog poop and straw/shavings. Over time it breaks down. There are a ton of beedles that help with the process. And it really doesn't smell except in the spring. I do not use the compost at all. I just leave it in the bush and the ferns grow all over it.
