Spirit didn't hear him. He was to confused about Steelpaw saying he/she saw his mom. Or owner? It didn't matter They were both important to him.

SteelPaw was still waiting, and wagging his tail.

Spirit couldn't take it anymore. "YOU SAW MY MOM???!!" he yelled.

"Yes. I go hunting for her often. She also gives me a place to sleep most nights."

"What what is her name!?" Spirit said. If it was his mom, why would she leave him and love Steelpaw?

"I don't know her name. She just has me call her 'Sweety'"
