That statue is of FDR's Scottish Terrier, "Fala". We visited Washington this past spring and this was part of the FDR Memorial. Moxie barked at it at first... she didn't know what to make of it. Then she went up and sniffed Fala's butt. Only then was she satisfied that the big metal dog was safe!

Also, moxiechick, i notice that you are from maine, is your username and/or your dogs name in anyway named after moxie falls or moxie lake or any of the moxie stuff up there? sorry I just noticed it and had to ask because I was just up in Caratunk, Maine near the Kennebec River at Adventure Bound with my venture crew (kind of like co-ed boy scouts ages 14-21 except ours is currently all girls cause no boys would join and we just recently started... lol) July 9-12 and we went to Moxie Falls and swam and stuff, Maine was awesome! so I was just curious if its named after that...? thanks

Lab/American Staffordshire Terrier Mix

I also have a 4 week old picture, he was a 3 week old rescue, his mother was shot by a chicken farmer at the end of january in 2006. All of his siblings died, I had to fully worm him at 3 weeks and bottle feed him. He is a wonderful character and one of the best dogs I have EVER had. He is a non-trained bird dog, and a tracker, all with no training! HE IS FANTASTIC
