Have 3 backyard hens, found the lab had broken into the coop and was retrieving the chickens-much to their dismay....the outcome-1 fine, 1 plucked, 1 with a nasty gash to her shoulder & 1 dog with a headache from me beating her

Had to have surgery on the one with the gash, 8 stiches and some pain medications later shes fine and the dog will not even look at the coop.
But...now for the the best interest of my girls I am looking for a new home for them. If anyone from here is interested come to savannah ga and get them as I know noone who can take good care of them. They are free but if you want their coop w/ repaired attached run and all other goodies we can work out a price.

That stinks. I am too far away to be of much help.

Have you posted on craigs list or put up notices in the feed stores yet?

I tied the dead hen around my dogs neck for an entire day. He has never touched one since then.

I have a lab, and fortunately he pays them no attention at all. But, he lives in the house with 3 cats and a rabbit. He knows pets are off limits I guess.

Sorry you had to go through that! ((hugs))
