Dog waterer with Microban

Hi Folks,

I just went to Petsmart and bought a dog waterer that is 2.75 gallons. This automatic waterer has Microban built in to resit germs and such in the water dish.

Is this harmful to chickens? I figure if Microban is built into human and dog/cat products, should be okay for chickens?

I have been using 2 of these for the last 6 weeks and my chicks are healthy and happy, havent lost one yet....still have all 25 of the lil buggers

How does this work? Does it attach to a hose?

It doesn't hook up to a hose.
