I worry about my own dogs and the chickens. So sorry for your loss.

We live on the dairy my hubby works at and their are two dogs that come up here from down the road. Usually we chase them off as they go after anything that moves; our cats, the cows... the coup is almost finished and the runs will be very secure,count on that! Since I have cats, I've been letting them get up close and personal with my week old chicks and two turkey chicks so they understand to leave them alone.

I am sorry to hear about your chicks - same day, yet.

Start again, this time more experienced and wiser!
