Doggy problem-kinda gross.

Hello!
I have noticed my dog "scooting" several times. Maybe 4-5 times? I have never expressed anal glands before, but I read up on it. Thing is, when I tried to do it, I couldn't feel them at all! Like that wasn't the problem. What do ya'll think? Like I said, just 4-5 times in the past week....thanks!

Definitely sounds like anal glands need to be expressed. I have my vet do it. Other possibilities are dirty hair around the anus (usually from diarrhea) or tapeworms. But my bet is on the anal glands. How have the stools been? Firm is good.

Sound like he has pinworms. They are really nasty, and can transfer to humans. Either way, he should go to the vet. Hope ur buddy feels better soon

Sounds like the anal glands! have the vet check him out!!

If he has long hair, check for stuff that looks like rice in the hair around his anus.
