Dogs used for species conservation!

Here (US) I have some friends that take their shorthairs and wirehairs with dnr each spring to find woodcock nest to band the youngsters.

Thats great. Another dog/conservation related thing is the Karelian Bear dogs and Russo-European Laikas that do the bear work within the Parks systems. They are amazing to watch them work!!! They help to retrain problem bears away from camp grounds, and other human dense areas. thanks for the story!
