Any other advice for handling them? They still run away even if I just stick my hand in their container. I’ve tried giving them mashed peas and also carrots that were grated then finely chopped up. If I put the treats on a plate and set it down they’re fine. If I hold the treats in my hand they run to the other side and huddle together.

Also, they seem to be growing quickly!

Yes, but they see my hand and they run

Just keep your hand as steady as possible. It can be torture for you. Try mealworms. Once one of them ventures over, so will the other.

Nope. Whole is fine. I use dehydrated, but if you want to hold live ones in your hand, go for it!

I start with laying my hand down in the shaving so it doesn't look so foreboding. Things scare them so much then I toss some over close to where they are might take a day or 2 for them to think wow this is so tasty.. Then you can toss closer and closer till they are at your hand.

Once you get them to your hand don't try and touch or pick up. Just enjoy them being close. They sure are precious!
