Hi, been stalking the page for a while. Decided to make it official. Had chickens, ducks and geese while the kids were growing up. Well, are empty nesters after raising our 4 and 2 grandkids so we decided to fill our nest again. This time with chicks and ducks instead of kids. We live in southern NM, on the Texas border by El Paso. We have a small 1.3 acre piece of property and since I am retired my husband has decided I need to get back into gardening and chicks again. To keep me busy. He built a greenhouse and the garden got a late start but it’s going. We are in the process of building a coop for the birds. We have 10 hens and 2 ducks. They have an old rabbit hutch he built several years ago when we found abandoned baby cotton tails And raised them until release. They are quickly outgrowing it so we are in a hot press. Here to absorb as much info possible to keep the girls healthy and safe.
Our parents raised us well.
