Awhile ago I notcied a large white duck in the local pond. (Pekin)

It just happen to appear there one day, so it had to be someone's pet, who didn't want it any longer.

It's been a few months since the duck has been there. I feel bad for it, he/she is always alone. I know it's mated with a Mallard before as there were odd ducklings swimming by themselves.

If you raise a duck, then set it free, is there a chance (if you catch it) that you can re-tame it?

I'm curious if domestic ducks can be re-tamed after being in the wild for so long.

Yes, it's possible. But, I've found that if they've been living I their own for more than a few months, it becomes more difficult.

They can be "Tamed" but I'm afraid they will most likely be more skittish than their non released counterparts
