Dominant Bird issues

So I have 7 chicks that we raised from a day old back in Feb, I sold all of my older chickens except a young barred rock that I wanted to keep since I didn’t think she had started laying yet, well now she is pecking the younger ones like crazy esp my RIR. Anyone know how to get her lower in the ranking order? I have heard you can put her in a small cage for a whole day maybe?

How old are the chicks? You might want to keep them seperate until they are all about the same size. Good luck...

Usually they will sort it out, but last week I had to put my SLW cockeral in solitary for a day. He quit the incessant pecking after that. Although it doesnt always work, but he got the message this time. I confined him within a cage in the same pen, so he could still see all the fun but not play!
