I have 3 dominant copper pullets and each looks different from the others. One is all black with lightly feathered feet, one is black with copper laced head/neck feathers and fully feathered feet and the third is mostly black, with barred breast feathers and clean feet. In other words, one looks as expected per marketing photos, one looks more like a copper maran (father), and the last one looks more like a barred rock (mother).

They are all beautiful in my eyes, just curious what others who raise this breed have experienced.

I just bought 2 dominant coppers! So I will keep you posted as to what mine grow to look like. Right now they are just fuzzy black balls.
Please do! Mine started laying between 16 and 20 weeks. One lays really dark brown eggs (the one with copper neck feathers), one lays slightly less dark brown eggs and the third (the one with white on her feathers) lays tan eggs. They aren’t very cuddly, but are lovely layers!!!
