Ok! I have had others questions about my chickens regarding laying but I think this is new-ish. I have two Dominant Coppers, one began laying at 20 weeks. She takes a day off now n then but produces nice strong beautiful copper colored eggs. They do vary in size sometimes and a few have been quite large containing double yolks. My second hen laid her first egg about a week later but the shell was soft and had almost no color to the shell. She laid another like that about a week later and then nothing. I made some adjustments to her diet and added more calcium and she laid a good strong, well colored egg just last week. She laid everyday for 4 days and did not lay yesterday or today. They will be 6.5 months old this week. Is there a point when I should be more concerned or does this all sound perfectly normal?

Sounds normal. Are you entering the winter months currently? If you are, then the less sunlight during the day is making your girls quit. I’ve found that most first year layers quit in the winters even.
