dominecker rooster or barred rock

i received an 8 month old dominecker rooster and don't know anything about the breed and was wondering what's the difference between a dominecker and barred rock.also this rooster is the sweetest rooster i have ever know he lays on the ground beside me and falls asleep while being petted just a wonderful rooster any replies would be great thanks.

Different plumage, weight, body and comb type. Dom's have rose and Barred have Single.

I've never seen a BR in person but from the photos I've seen of a BR does no look like the rooster i have the comb is not rose its single but at the back on each side it has pointy thorn like flesh or whatever its called lol i don't know anything about either breed but i see aloft of people get them mixed up.was just wondering it doesn't change my mind about keeping him simply cause he is a gentle bird
