A friend hatched some Dominique chicks for me. Would love your opinions which are pullets and which are cockerels. I’m new to chicks so would love any input to help educate myself. They are 3 days old in these pictures. Ive also read they are auto sex links???

I’m sorry looks like my pictures didn’t post in the order I Uploaded. I numbered each picture, head, straight on, legs

For some reason I can't see the pictures but you can tell my head spot size and foot / toes color. I did this a few months ago with mine and as I recall the cockerels will have no or significantly lessblack in their feet and toes. It is quite accurate which is why dominique chickens are awesome

Can you post pics of their wings kinda spread out?
This is one of the babies Thank you so much for your help! I had watched a YouTube video that said if they had two rows of feathers like this, it was a female??? Is that accurate?

Feather-sexing generally only works in crosses specifically selected for it. (Fast feathering rooster breed x slow-feathering hen breed gets slow-feathering cockerels and fast-feathering pullets. The fast-feathering pullets would have two rows of feathers, but it only works in this specific circumstance.)

However, Dominiques are fast-feathering, (it's a sexlinked-gene, so males will have two copies of fast-feathering and hens will have only one and so the cockerels will get feathers faster) so shorter feathers have a greater likelihood of belonging to a pullet. You'll have to compare them to their hatchmates for any reliable guesses.

From what I see, looks like 2 are the same wing feathers, and the other 4 chucks wing feathers are the same.

What are your thoughts? They were hatched Monday and Tuesday if this week Thank you so much!!!!

That's what I've heard. I don't know much about sexing chicks though. @sylviethecochin probably knows more than me. She sounds like she know what she's talking about. Haha!:D
