They definitely look like barred rocks to me. I had the same problem when I bought mine. Barred Rocks have a rose comb and dominique's have a rose comb and are a little smaller in size. Cokoo Maran's also favor BR'S also. They are very similar in size and color but marans lay a very dark brown eeg. That is basically the only way I have found to distinguish between BR'S and Cukoo Maran's.

I meant to say that Barred rocks have a straight comb and dominique's have a rose comb. I need to start proof reading my comments before I post them. Sorry!!!!!
