Dominique roo?

If it's a barred rock - I think it looks like a cockerel because of the pink comb, light feathering, and the lack of dark wash down it's leg. The comb looks flat to me - is that an illusion? Does your chick have a single comb?

Too light to be a pullet. A rooster for sure.

The feathers on the neck for some reason seem rooish. He is only 5 weeks old? Maybe a late bloomer.

When my DH returns next week with the camera I will get another picture, hope that it will be outside so the lighting won't be off. I only have one as it was sent by MM as my extra, "fancy" chick with my order so I can't tell if the color is light, dark, or inbetween...

I thought it might be a roo cause of the way it acts, so we call him Einstein, but it would be good if he is a she...

It is a dominique cockerel. The most distinguishable trait between the two breeds is the comb; barred rocks have single combs, dominiques have rose combs.
