Dominique?

Got this guy as a BYM at a week old.
I'm thinking there's a chance he's pure Dominique, but would love to hear your thoughts.

I think it is very likely he is a pure Dominique. He's double barred, so wasn't the result of crossing only one barred parent onto something else.

I'd never even heard of this breed but his comb caught my attention so I started researching.

It is the first breed developed in the United States. They are pretty rare.

I'm in Canada. Now I'm curious how common it is here. I'll have to go see what I can find.

They are a lovely breed and very nice to have where cold is a concern because they are not as subject to frostbite as birds with a big, single comb, like the Barred Rock. Also they are sexable at hatch which is nice.

He is a very hansom boy.

They actually have a rose comb which yours has. I think it probably is a Dominique
