Well, I promised I would post some new pictures of my mare, so I took a few when I went to visit her today...
MC and I are back from the University (for good! - Our graduation was this past Saturday, yeah!
) and our barn owner surprised us with 2 new additions:
Everyone meet Olly and Oatie!
yeah, they're cute little buggers... They're really friendly, but still young and very very playful...
Anyways, when MC was first introduced to them, she didn't quite like them. She thought of them as belonging more to the cow family than the horse family and was all "cutting horse -cow sense" on them. Now, she's use to them...she tolerates them, but now the tables have turned; Miss MC is now getting a taste of her bullying (captions below if any):
^^^ Now, they never leave her side...
^^^ They nip at her hocks
^^^They nip at her elbows - "Come play with us!"
^^^ she tries to run away (and yes, that one is a tail chewer! Grr! )
^^^ but they run after her...
^^^ MC tries to hide from them
^^^ but has no luck...
^^^ they follow...
^^^ they begin to close in...
^^^ she makes a run for it
^^^ the chase is on...
^^^ MC tries to switch the roles... she attacks (which spooked Oatie)
^^^ She can finally have a moment to relax - her plan worked
^^^ but not for long...
Finally, things calm down and I grab MC and bring her inside. I put her in the indoor to let her walk herself out... only she's still all hyped up and decides to goof off another 15 minutes:
^^^ finally she gets it out of her system
^^^ after a nice cool off and thorough brushing... it was time to go back outside...
^^^ ::itch:: (NOTE: that purple dot is ointment... she had a scrape)
^^^ I gave her a carrot to make up for the fact that I had to put her back out with them...
^^^ Olly came back to start trouble, but she quickly put a stop to that... (a quick lunge and swift kick, sent him away) "Enough is Enough!" - she shakes her head at them
^^^ Then all was well... the 2 little beasts went off to harass Elecktra instead
Moral of the story:
^^^ This is truly an ass!
