LOL, Just wanted to show you what the darn hens just started to do.

This is from my security camera. Behind them you can see the coop/run area, all dirt with some hay scattered so they scratch.
Grassy area is the back yard that I let them roam in. Wood plank is between grass and 'garden' (nothing is planted there but nice dirt ! )

What are they doing today after I took away the slate walking stones 3 days ago?
Yup, just made 2 holes so 6 of them can fight over who is getting in there.

BTW this is HARD soil they are digging in. Not the nice easy to dig garden area.
:rolleyes::confused:

So don't bother, they will make their own :lau Of course those of us that have had chickens for a long while already know this

So uncooperative! Why don’t t chickens do what we want them to do? So annoying lol 🤣 like when you provide fresh water and they go for the mud puddle.
I KNOW RIGHT?!! but if you want them to really drink, just dump it on the ground and watch them swarm hahahah
LOL, so far these pullets have not done that yet but the other hens I had did. Why do they always like the corner ? I thought something was trying to get in until I caught them hahaha

My chickens decided that this one hole next to their waterer was where they wanted to dig. I would’ve let them if it didn’t go under their coop and made it easier for fox’s to get in, and more likely for rats to get in.
I put sand in that hole, didn’t work. I filled the hole with clay like dirt, didn’t work. I put a CINDER BLOCK in that hole, they dug in the holes of the cinder block. In the end we put the waterer on top of the hole, they still tried to dig under neath the waterer (which was on roof tile like slabs). After 2 weeks they started a new hole right next to it, but we moved around that time so it didn’t matter as much.

Also, why do chickens take their freshly placed seed and fling it EVERYWHERE! Then they go “oh look what I found, I’m so amazing” 🤦

I know I shouldn’t complain to much since their chickens, but like do you have to destroy every single nice thing I provide you with? Now I’m just venting.
