Don't eat eggs from Prep H hen?

Yesterday my one-year old hen got a smallish (?) prolapse. I really have no idea what caused it, as she's a great egg layer and her eggs are not even that big. I was allowing someone to hold her and wasn't paying a ton of attention. Apparently she struggled quite a bit before they finally put her down... maybe she was straining so much that she had a blowout?

I put on a glove and was able to push the prolapse back in. After reading some notes on this message board (thanks, everyone!) I also applied some honey to her vent.

This morning she's doing fine. There's still a bit of swelling around her vent, and just a little ridge of tissue is visible. I'm going to try preparation H.

My question is... assuming she's able to successfully lay an egg sometime in the future, should I hold off on eating her eggs until we're all done with the preparation H?

Since your only talking a day or two, I would throw them out. Not sure how Prep H tastes with eggs.
