I have one Silkie hen and she is about 2 years old. Love her! This year I have added several auracana (8)-couple of months old, and a few weeks after some Polish babies. The three age groups have been separated and briefly, periodically introduced. The two younger groups get along great but I just put the Silkie hen with the younger and I watched her. What a bully! I don't know how pecking order works but it seemed like she might rip my golden laced polish's head off. She grabbed it by the neck and shook it back and forth. I took her away from them. So can someone shed some light. Is she being mean? Is that normal?

Sounds like she is being a bit on the rough side. I would give it a minute and if she continues separate her. My only silkie hen always bites my other birds. Mainly when they are eating and drinking and they get too close.
