Don't know what type of chicken and if I got a hen or rooster

Hello. We had purchased some chicks about 8 weeks ago and I was told this chicken was a barred rock. I have been looking and she just doesn't look like one. Also I am not sure if she is even a hen. Can anyone help me. Thank you in advance for your time.

That is definitely not a barred rock. It could be a black sex link pullet. Could be a mixed breed rooster.

Looks like a Barnevelder. At eight weeks old, with a comb like that, it's a cockerel.
