I've heard some difference of opinions on this issue about the Maerks vaccination... Just wondering what everyone does

Um.... I have vaccinated flock that has had offspring.... the babies do fabulously. Got some unvaccinated hens and mixed them in and no problems after 6 months. I don't know if this is the exception or the rule.... just my experiences with them.

I've heard in the past somewhere on here that if they are vaccinated the vaccine is sloughted off through their skin after the first two weeks and are not able to pass on maerks after day 14. Has anyone else heard this?

No, i haven't heard that but i know chicks under 16 weeks are most susceptiable. i choose not to vaccinate due to my beliefs. Everyone is different.
As long as the chicks are healthy and you quarintine them before introducing them, you will be OK! heck my birds are different ages and i have to wait months to put them together. So i will know they are OK
