Dont need to buy more birds after this weekend!!!!

Some of you here on BYC know that we only have 1/3 acres, so we had to make a microfarm to best utilize our space.

This weekend I am buying a chocolate muscovy drake to mate with our two duck hens. That means thats it!! I dont need to buy anymore birds!!!

This doesnt mean I am cured of chicken maddness, this doesnt mean I cant buy bird I want, this just means the meat management portion of my flock will be done.

I currently have:

one rooster
11 hens
one bantam roo
3 bantam hens
guinea roo and hen
two chock muscovy hens
one silkie roo
two silkie hens
8 quail

Ive got three dark cornish bulldog chicks comming next weekend,Gruesome will be surrogate for them in our surrogate pen.

The new drake will be housed in the old coop with the two duck hens.

Ive got 8 broodies:
one buff orp
one light brahma
two american games
one partridge rock
two silkie hens
one oeg hen

So from the broodies,I wont need to use my homemade incubator,nor brooder box. Cut off from electric bill to go au-natural.

So if I want any more birds the two choices will be:

golden seabrights
khaki campbell ducks

Freedom!!!! Glorious glorious Freedom!!!!

Now onto breeding,hatching,brooding,selling/eating.

Then of course their are pheasants also, and geese.............

I cant do turkeys,phesants or geese!!! I gotz no room!! If I had at least one meazly acre then yes!!

Dont tell me about those again. la la la!! Im not listening!!! La La La!!!
