My husband is washing the car and the places where the mesquite sap dripped onto the car bubbled up the paint!

ETA: I did Google it and apparently this is no secret.

We will continue to love the tree; our porch swing and large chimes hang from it, but I think I'll have to threaten it with pruners this winter.
