Don't understand the ordinances in my city

I live in Ste. Genevieve Missouri. They have their ordinances on the web, but i am unable to understand them. Can someone maybe look it up for me and tell me. I am really wanting to get some chickens in my backyard. We know that getting a rooster is pretty much out of the question. We have neighbors that i am sure that would complain about his crowing. If someone could please find out for me i would be extremely greatfull.

id call the city of make sure...
but everything that i read in your code,,,has nothing against keeping chickens....

just cats/dogs are not allowed to run at large.......
