I have to share with the group about how good I feel when I wake up in the mornings now after spending time with you all getting in the extra and the importance of fitness and stretching.
I had plantar fasciitis for 2 years+ and thought I’d developed a hip issue during the first phase of covid because I didn’t travel and sat in my office all day talking with clients and not moving. Since really getting on board with you all as cheerleaders and accountability buddies, things have changed!!!
I really noticed it this morning. I don’t hobble to the bathroom in the middle of the night or dread the first few steps in the morning because my feet hurt. Nor do I feel the deep throbbing in my hip that was once thought to be labrum tear or in my head I needed a hip replacement (because thats just where my head goes).
I try to do real stretching every day to keep my body loose and I came to the realization of how important it is to keep your body “unstuck”. I’ve always been an athlete but thought I could skip this step. Nope….
my sister started a new job where she sits all day and developed a back issue that the doctors have convinced her the only relief is to do spinal injections and light PT. I feel like they are kind of crippling her by making her afraid to do anything other than walking. I’m not saying she doesn’t have a bit of arthritis and the buzz word of degenerative disc disease, or needs to lose some covid weight but if I didn’t experience what I am feeling now, I never would believe the power of stretching….yoga, and even hula hooping could make a HUGE difference in how you feel. I swear her problem originated by sitting in a damn chair all day. I’m trying to convince her to move but she is terrified that it will make it worse and the doctors have her convinced the only way to recover is through nerve injections.
changing topics…
First day of fall came with a bit of a punch here but tomorrow is suppose to be nice. Get you’re extra today!!! I know I’m going to get mine

thanks for the motivation everyone!
