What a crazy world we live in. I'm so glad you made arrangements to get out in time.

From what we've pieced together today, it looks like Oct 30th is the date the airports will start, so we cut it pretty close. When we booked our flight, we considered waiting until Nov 2 so we could fly direct to Porta Plata instead of flying into Punta Cana and driving 4+ hours across the island. We felt like we should go sooner rather than later, which turned out to be a huge blessing.

Out of town Wednesday but did my workout surveying and just walking to lunch in the mountain town of Jerome AZ viewed from Douglas Mansion (Jerome State Historic Park)...this was my office yesterday!

I had to do jumping jacks, push-ups, sit-ups, squats, butterfly stretches and pike stretches... Then run two laps around the gym and then hold a plank for 15 seconds.

It'll be just in time! Our great leader announced yesterday that as of Nov 30th, (some reports say Oct 30) the "unsafe" will no longer be able to travel on planes, trains, or boats. With the US border closed there is no escape. We've been warning people for months, but my heart is still heavy for all the friends we have that didn't draw their line in the sand soon enough. The panicked phone calls started almost immediately, and I'm sure there will be more today.

This what it looks like when you try to cram 12 acres and 7,000 sq ft of living / storage space into 55 gal drums. It's tough, but I'm thankful () that we're getting out with more than the clothes on our backs. Obviously, that's all just stuff. The worst part is leaving family and friends behind.

Sorry for the downer post, it's unrealistic, but hopefully I'll squeeze a workout in today. If not, I should have lots of time soon!

I personally have a lot of respect for Jordan Peterson. Very down to earth guy, and smart
