Ice it. 20 minutes, wait an hour in between and do it again.
Maybe just a walk to loosen up. I wouldn't run.
Back pain sucks, I've dealt with it a lot.
Ok. Thanks for that, much appreciated!
So by 'ice it' you mean, hold something ice cold on it?..not Methamphetamine:hmm.
I hate sitting. I've already climbed a tree this morning at a friend's house to cut an unwanted branch off for him.🤦‍♂️i know it'll make it much worse. I'm gonna stop now.

I do appreciate your opinion 👍
You are way too young to be having back issues so you better start paying attention to how you lift stuff otherwise you're going to be an old geezer stuck in a chair by the time you're 40.

😄 but not everyone my age does stuff that I do. Most people sit in an office chair all day.

Anyway, didn't want to disrupt this peaceful thread. Sorry. But thanks for the help, Shaw. Appreciated. 👍❤️

I see this thread is still going.

I've been a lazy old sod recently and I regret it because yesterday I ruined my lower back by trying to lift some extremely heavy bits of tree.

I'm considering going for a run but do you think that'll make it worse?
I've always had a bad back but it's lifting which makes it really flare up.
Back pain due to working out or pain like you injured it. I would say if it’s simply workout discomfort…go for it. If it’s pain from potential injury, then rest and ice would be your better bet. Sorry your back is bothering you. That’s a bugger. Good luck.

It's not disrupting.... You're forgetting who you're dealing with here...we don't care about off topic.

I just got a bright idea!!!

A bright idea that I'm totally stealing from some post I just saw on Instagram.
Sit tight as soon as I can figure out how to make my own version I'll be posting it for this month's challenge.

We all have injuries and the older we get the harder it is to recover. The key is to come up with a system to make that recovery easier and faster. I keep a long reference list of things to help with back pain - electrolytes/less coffee, PT or EZ exercises, TENS unit, ibuprofen or natural inflamation fighters, epsom salt bath, various linaments and more.

Back pain is no joke no matter the cause (too much exercise, moving the wrong way, not having strong core muscles, sitting too much, sneezing... yes this happens, a symptom of depression... this is a common warning symptom).

My extra today will be stacking wood. My husband nailed two of his fingers together yesterday and understandably is not able to do as much physical labor today.
I have to fill the wheelbarrow from the woodpile, which is at the bottom of the hill, then push it up the hill, and carry it into the house through a couple of rooms to the wood stove. It's going to be a heck of a workout... Especially since I just did arms yesterday.
