Wheaten is such a gorgeous color. There are few colors I like more. I have a salmon faverolles bantam now that is that lovely sort of wheaten color and I adore her color, and her. She is no Smoke, she's still young and warming up to me. I am grasping at opportunities to replace her. She was a Meyer bird and after learning that hatchery layers have abysmally high mortality rates by the age of 3, I thought I would attempt due diligence by trying ornamental bantams. I can't get enough of those beards and muffs, so I've got some barbu d'anvers in the brooder right now. I'm pleased with my choice, they are effin' adorbs.Ameraucanas really all the best.
