Good news. The vet is more inclined to think it's some kind of leg injury. She told me to keep a sharp eye out, make sure Maisy doesn't start throwing up or have other concerning signs. She does look better this afternoon. She's walking around a little, ate some food, and pooped.

Me too. I feel like I got some gray hairs today.
She perked up a lot in the vet's office, probably the excitement of seeing new people and all the smells. It initially made me feel like I overreacted in bringing her, but remembering how she was all morning before the appointment, just laying on the floor trembling with pain... It was the right decision.

I'm glad I did already my extra today. I walked across the family room and got a tack in my heel a few minutes ago. It went all the way in and it was so shocking and painful that I screamed.

My extras today…I’ve been climbing up and down the step ladder trying to install the hardware for and hang the new blinds in the kitchen. The house was built in the 1950s and the wood framing on the windows is hard as rock. I had to trim the frame trim to seat the hardware, then pre drill for the screws and then put the screws in with a manual screw driver. Couldn’t use the battery drill because the head was too big for the job.

Now I’m off to the hardware store for a new hall light and a new return air vent cover. The old one is not made any more…the dimensions are 17 x 32…so I’m going to get two 14 x 16 and add floor trim and a center post to cover the opening. Necessity is the mother of invention.

Probably too late now but rubbing the screw threads with a bar of soap or wax will make them go in easier. They do sell proper sized bits that will fit your drill.

I know that says hardware, but I kept adding cloth to it and I was trying to figure out if why you'd be screwing hardware cloth into your window frames.
