They're working on rebuilding something that they messed up yesterday.
I don't know if this has something to do with your emojis or not but make sure you accidentally didn't click these buttons:
The three little dots highlighted in yellow and then that parentheses bracket looking thing just under the three dots highlighted in yellow.

None of the items are able to be selected. They are all shaded out….

:ya Nvm again….they are back!!

I am so bad at technology. I still don’t know how take part of a quote from someone and paste into a message. It gets all gummed up….oh well live is hard
