I'm listening to the audiobook UltraMind (by a doctor) who calls himself an accidental psychiatrist after he was trying to discover why "his brain was broken". I'm only on chapter 3? and he says the worst thing you can put in your body is high fructose corn sugar and trans (hydrogenated) fats in processed foods.

He says these things are like poison and replace the good things that make your body and brain work correctly. Example if you are eating trans fats instead of getting fish oils in your diet then the fats in your brain are like trans fats (solid, long shelf life) instead of flowing like fish oil. He contends this could account for many forms of "broken brain".
This?

If so I'm getting it next week, the ebook, to read on my Christmas present!

Yes that's the one - I checked it out of our local digital library.
I used to always borrow digital books from my library.
I keep forgetting that this is an option because I just don't make the time to read as much as I used to.

Budgeting is also one of my interests so I always try to borrow instead of buy. Also helps the library use my tax dollars wisely if more people let them know digital is an essential service. I get lynda.com for free thru my library too - it has professional level video tutorials on software I use for work like Revit and AutoCad among many others.

Don't believe everything these whackos write. Trans fats are bad.
