Some people can apply for paper work (the ones shipping) and have there birds tested to make sure they dont have any diseases that are on watch. So there is no quarintine time on eggs, just live birds 6weeks I think.....trust me I've look into it and might try in the next few years.

Julie your really blessed and they are cute little chicks.

Beautiful! Excellent crosses for your Americanized Orps. Its good to have new blood introduced in the flock to keep the flock fresh.

Congratulations! Good thing you went thru all that ordeal! I would assumed that it would be next year when we will get more Blue Orps eggs from ya! Put me on the list and wish for the best! Wanted some black ones!

Thanks Kristina, they have fluffed out now and their color is beautiful. They have really large feet and heads. I have them in the house and they seem to be doing well. I am talking to them and have just given them a little chick starter and water.

I agree with you Julie. Thank you so much for posting this. I enjoy seeing your birds and I am even blessed to have one that is related to yours, along with anxiously waiting for more eggs from such beautiful chickens. It is great to see someone working hard on their lines and especially nice when they share their projects with others. Thanks.

I'm not sure about this, because I have no idea who or how you got them. However, I did think eggs also had to have proper paperwork to be shipped as well. So maybe you do want to keep this a little on the quiet side, unless of course all the paperwork did come with them. I thought I heard that if you don't have the proper paperwork they can actually wipe out your whole flock if the wrong people hear about it.

They are very pretty, and the flock they came from is just beautiful!

Edited to add:
I personally don't care how Julie got her eggs, I just don't want people to think you can just have eggs shipped in from other countries without proper paperwork, as the end result can be really bad.
