dont you hate when work gets in the way

not really much of a ramble, I just wanted to complain to some understanding folks (my FB friends dont think chickens are as awesome as they are)

dont you hate when work gets in the way of spending time with your babies. Summer is just kicking off and the birds are panting and looking confused and Ive spent the last 3 days at work and havent had anytime to see them in the daylight hours

The only time I did get to see them I had to stop Lily eating a soft shelled egg, and then ran to work and spent the next 8 hours worrying about my girls

I wanna cuddle a chicken!!

I'm sorry yours aren't. Work sure takes a lot of time out of your day, doesn't it? I'm glad to work a job that allows my evenings to be free so that I can spend time with my critters. I understand your complaint.

I know what you mean. I want to have a bit of time with them every day. Some days I don't see them all day and then I feel bad.

Most of my friends (FB and IRL) aren't into the chicken thing AT ALL! But I have u guys!

I know how you feel (or I will soon). Been off all summer with the kids and now it's back to work next monday.

Just got my chickens a few months ago so both me and the chickens are used to seeing eachother quite a bit!

Very sad indeed...

I fully understand!
I have to out at 5am, and I drink my coffee in the barn, so I can have animal time before work. But, the chickens are sleeping at that time, and I tell them good morning, and they make little noises back at me. And I listen to the pony chew his hay.
