I have RI reds. How big should I make their door from the coop to the run?

Where do you live? If you have cold winters, the smallest pop door they can fit through comfortably is the perfect size. I went 10Wx13H as was suggested in my favorite chicken book. And, it's a whole lot easier to make the door larger than it is to make it smaller...

Live in central PA. It may sound dumb, but I don't exactly know what the grown size of a RI is. so 10x13 should work?
