Hello, I am looking for some Dorking hens, not for show but rather to hopefully become brooders. Does anyone have any dorkings or know if the hatchery birds will brood? Thank you for your help.

Dick Hortsman is from PA and sells 2 different kind of dorkings. Not sure his stock go broody but you can ask him he's on these forums so you could pm him.

From Sand Hill's Dorking listing: Once the warmer Spring weather arrives all the members of a particular pen can turn broody within a day or two. They are stubborn and persistent and many times, during the prime Spring hatching season, we are left with few eggs. When ordering this breed, you must understand this trait and not expect your chicks at a specific time.

So, sounds like Sand Hill has broody Dorkings.
