Not sure where to put this.

Planning on getting into sheep, I think i found the right breed.

We want a large breed, that doesn't require shearing. The Dorper fits.

My dad wanted a horned breed, but I can't find a horned breed that doesn't require shearing.

If there's breeders of the Dorpers here, I'd like to hear from you?

Not sure when we'd be wanting to get them, but it'll most likely not be until we set up a shelter, & proper fencing.

Two breeds of shedding sheep that have horns are Wiltshires (though some lines are polled) and Damara, which look more like a goat (but aren't escape artists). Crossing a Damara ram over Wiltshire ewes gives a 'meatmaster' which grows fast. We've had our first born here and she's a cutie. I'm in New Zealand so not sure how common those breeds are overseas.

Just make sure you find a breeder who selects for full shedding.

Will they be pets or are you wanting to breed them?
