vitals : wnl within normal limits

activity: up ad lib moving about and can't keep in the dog kennel.

Diet: Drinking water very well, vitamins twice a day, small bit of feed, yogurt. Small emesis post vitamin admin. No further complaints of n/v (nausea/vomiting)

Elimination: FIRST NORMAL POOPS OF HER LIFE!!!! I will refrain from posting before and after pics, but this poor little sweetie has never had a normal poop until tonight. And now she has had several.

Wound Care: Incision CDI (clean dry and intact) no signs or symptoms of infection. Neosporin applied times 2 this shift.

She is not on O2 and doesn't have a catheter

She slept very peacefully on my chest this evening. It warmed my heart in a way I will never be able to describe. I hated puting her back in the kennel but she is hunkered down on a shirt for the night. Sleep tight my little Chloe.
 
Very good post op report. Another 24 hours and she should be ready for rehab. If you get tired of OR nursing, you might want to look into home health.
 
Fantastic job! I am sure not even a vet could have done it better!

For the good of all chicken lovers around, keep the pics coming.. The people that are in need of them far outweigh these that are not..
