Have a sick chicken, weasing and coughing a lot. I was told I needed to get some oxytetracycline to treat the water with. I am a little confused on preparing the dosage. I have the 6.4oz package. Maybe I am stupid or over thinking it to be care full. Can any one help?

I called durvet the maker of duramycin and oxy around here, don't know if it's the same brand you have or not. For the duramycin the representative on the phone told me to treat sick birds 1 tablespoon with a pinch of strawberry or cherry flavored jello mix to help disguise the bitter taste of the medicine to a gallon of water. To use as a preventative, 1 teaspoon per gallon of water and a pinch of jello etc. I am not sure on the oxytetracycline, you can call durvet and ask, my experience was wonderful. Hope this helps!
