I've got ivermectin injectable and also ivermectin sheep drench. My 8 week old chicks have already had their wazine treatment. I'm waiting 10 days from that to give ivermectin.
I see dosages for adult birds but nothing is by weight so I'm not sure how much to give them?
Also, which is better, the injectable or the drench? And these are done orally or by skin? Are these mixed with anything?
Sorry, it's been really confusing trying to get the right wormer. Reading the site, the injectable is given orally and possibly by skin but don't inject it. The pour on may or may not work on their skin because it's actually made for cattle. The drench is...I don't know where to begin with this. Then there's 5% and 1%. Oh but use Valbazen (albendazole) because it's better. Something has to be mixed with something to slow it down if given orally. And you may or may not be able to eat eggs if given while they are laying.
I wish it was a bit more consolidated somewhere and clear (I've read the worming deal on here and it doesn't cover everything). If someone is willing to straighten me out, I can write it up (I'm a technical writer and willing to donate my time).
My head is spinning, lol!
