Double Breeding Pen Help

Have they been around any males?
You know it takes 3-4 weeks for sperm from 'un-chosen' males to clear out of the hens system.

My self and a friend will do a couple test batches. Will probably wait a couple weeks to play it safe. They have been around all of the roosters, but luckily the main two I want to breed are already an established pair that kind of stick to themselves.

Roost bar straight across each section. Attach to the frame, or to the wire, depending on how strong the wire is. 2x2 lumber, 4 feet long, times two pens probaby won't add a lot of weight.

Nestbox can be a separate box that sits on the ground inside. Yes, you'll have to lift it out to move, but it does keep the pen itself lighter.

(Other solutions probably exist, but those are the first ones I can think of.)

I think you just solved my dilemma. I’ll hang the roost bar from the wood above and run it across.

Or diagonally between the corner posts? That could count as a cross-brace to strengthen the pen, too.
