Hi,
We currently own 5 beautiful hens (roughly 15months, pic of Marge for reference). The first incident happened about a month ago roughly. One of our girls was all puffed up, tail down. She had already laid her egg for the day so we just kept an eye on her. Later that night when we went to lock them up for the night, we noticed she laid a second egg, only this one didn't have a shell/was VERY soft but her behaviour had went back to normal.
We left her to sleep and the next morning we gave her a looking over, felt around to make sure nothing was out of the ordinary. She seemed okay but we gave her a little liquid paraffin which helped her do a poop and for the rest of the day normal behaviour.
Now, yesterday we noticed she looked unwell again, just like last time. She had laid her daily egg as usual already. I was so stressed out, I ended up putting her in a warm bath and massaging her for a while. We kept her inside until she dried and yet again, she laid a second shell less egg! I was hoping this was a one off like last time but today after laying her normal egg, she laid the second shelless one, this time in a much shorter period.
What is wrong with my girl? I don't know how to even find any support via normal googling and I'm worried about this happening again tomorrow. What can I do?
Also: She is eating and drinking as normal.
