I have 2 dsl barnevelder chicks at 6 weeks old now. They were bred to be 3/4 size. I checked their wings at a day old and they were opposites so I’m hoping I have a pair. They are both very sweet but the smaller one that had the “male” feather quills does seem a bit jumpy and take chargey. The tails also look completely different to me but I need more opinions. The darker one I think is the pullet and the one with more white I think might be the cockerel.
pictures 1,2 and 4 feature the pullet
pictures 5,6 and 8 feature the cockerel
3 pullet left cockerel right
7 and 9 the cockerel is up on the wood

UPDATE::
The chicks are now just over 8 weeks. These 2 are really stumping me. The first 2 pictures are of the chick I thought was male but you guys said is probably the female at 6 weeks and the last picture is the one I thought was female that someone pointed out was probably the male because of the underdefined lacing. The combs are a little more developed now and the darker one does have the redder comb then the more laced one. Are we still all thinking I had it reversed? I feel like I’m going crazy staring at these peepers😂
