My chicks are a "barnyard mix" of Orpingtons, Marans and EE's, so I have no clue which exact breed I'm looking at. One of my chicks has what I can only describe as "double toes" on the back of her feet. Is this a breed thing or a genetic fluke?

Not a GREAT pic, I know- but its the best one I've been able to get, considering that if shes not moving on them, she's sleeping on them.

It's normal on certain breeds. It's called a fifth toe.

Breeds that have five toes:

Silkie
Sultan
Dorking
Houdan
Favorelle

I may have left some off... Can't think of any others at the moment.
