Double yoked egg hatching question

I had 6 eggs under my broody. 2 hatched this morning (ADORABLE!!) and 3 eggs pipped.
We had 5 "normal" eggs, and one double yolked.
All have pipped excpet the double yolked. We were just trying this as an expiriment..

The eggs were due this tuesday. Unless I marked the date wrong, they are all pipping 2-3 days early.. how long should I wait until helping the double yolked?

Congrats on your chicks! Have you candled the double yolker to see if it's still alive?

Double yolks rarely hatch and when they do very few come out well.

I've candled it a couple days ago. I didn't see well, but all I saw was black

Don't help it.
Open the egg up( if you want to see what's going on in there)
after mama brings the other chicks off the nest.

I seriously doubt the double yolker is alive.

I doubt it too, but if it were to be alive, how and when should I help it?

So, turns out all is well. 5/6 hatched, the double yolker was dead. I opened it up and the embryo was only like a couple days developed.

I'm more than happy with the results though!
I got silkie crosses, buff d'uccle crosses, some jersey giants. They're ADORABLE!!
